Management Review Meaning

A meeting with top management to present the metrics results after implemented the recommended actions.

The management review is an official corporate meeting in which the top management is informed of the most relevant quality issues and trending at regular intervals throughout the year.

It is a crucial and required part of the ISO certified Management System and 21 CFR Part 820.20(c) Management Responsibility.

Management review. Management with executive responsibility shall review the suitability and effectiveness of the quality system at defined intervals and with sufficient frequency according to established procedures to ensure that the quality system satisfies the requirements of this part and the manufacturer’s established quality policy and objectives. The dates and results of quality system reviews shall be documented.”

Indeed, the purpose of a management review meeting is to review and evaluate the effectiveness of your Management System, helping the management representatives to determine its continued suitability and adequacy.

Step 1. Determine before the meeting, what, when, and who shall be present.

Step 2. Write and distribute the meeting minutes during the meeting.

Step 3. Analyze and evaluate the information, raw data, and source of the supporting evidence for accuracy and legitimacy.

Step 4. Consider the trending and possible correlation between the factors and attributes.

Step 5. Write the summary report with conclusions and recommendations after the management review to document and approve document(s).
